Dr. Brian Byers is the founding doctor of Faithful Paws Veterinary Clinic. Brian completed his undergrad at Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Animal Biology Science, and then in 2009 his Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) from Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Brian has been admitted to the Phi Zeta veterinary honor society based on academic merit. He has worked as a veterinarian in the New Bethlehem/Rimersburg area since 2009, and has taken on a special interest in small animal internal medicine and hospice care.
Brian is the husband to Jessie and father to five wonderful children, Cameron, Logan, Gavin, Owen, and Lucy. The family adores their 3 Morkies (cross between Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier), a loving one-eyed Persian cat named Smoosh, and one bunny named Dr. Colosso. Brian and his family enjoy cookouts, camping, outdoor movies, kids soccer games, board games and traveling.
Brian was born and raised locally. His grandfather, who many say Brian takes after, inspired him at a young age to become a veterinarian. Leading by example, Brian’s grandfather was kind and gentle towards all his patients and their families. With such a legacy to follow, Brian aims to serve in such a manner.
Brian’s compassionate care for both family animals and their owners makes him a truly gifted and expert small breed veterinarian.
